handwork summer camps

at maypop, summer camp is a slow & steady, hands-on creative space where kids work with natural materials to make, explore and build confidence in their own making.

each camp session is rooted in handwork and tactile craft processes like hand stitching, weaving, ceramics, natural dyeing and more. there’s also plenty of space for imagination, storytelling and open-ended creative work.

we move at a steady, grounded pace, allowing kids to actually learn skills, not just complete quick projects. camp is a place for creativity, curiosity and the quiet satisfaction of working with your hands.

children will be guided through accessible fiber arts and craft techniques and will leave with finished pieces, new skills and a deeper relationship to their own creativity.

  • half-day (9a-noon / 1-4p) or full-day (9a-4p)

  • monday through thursday

  • small group setting (limited enrollment!)

  • all materials included

Cancellation Policy

100% refund: cancellations or reschedule requests more than two weeks prior to class start or up to 24 hours after booking

50% refund or 100% class credit: cancellations less than two weeks but more than 48 hours prior to class start
