Your child can step into a world of warmth and gentle creativity at summer camp with Maypop. Led with care by Lauren Vossen, a dedicated and formally-trained Waldorf Handwork teacher and the heart behind Maypop School of Handwork, our classes offer a nurturing space for children to explore and grow.

In the cozy embrace of our small class sizes, each child receives the individual attention they deserve, fostering genuine connections and heartfelt moments. Rooted ins Waldorf education, our curriculum celebrates the beauty of handmade crafts, inviting children to connect with nature through the use of natural materials.

Throughout the week, your child will:

  • Experience the joy of accomplishment and a blossoming sense of self-worth.

  • Delight in honing their fine motor skills and dexterity.

  • Explore the depths of their imagination through fiber crafts.

  • Cultivate mindfulness and focus as they immerse themselves in creative work.

  • Learn the invaluable lessons of patience, perseverance, and the value (and satisfaction!) of completing tasks.

  • Forge meaningful friendships and nurture their social and emotional intelligence through collaborative projects.

Wondering if your child is ready for Handwork? Keep an eye out for these signs:

  • A natural inclination to immerse themselves in activities for sustained periods.

  • Eagerness to engage in structured yet heartwarming activities.

  • A compassionate spirit and willingness to communicate kindly with peers.
